A simple bet on the outcome of a match, with 3 possible outcomes: either one of the 2 teams score a win or a tie at the end of the regulation time. The aim is to bet on the outcome of the match within the regulation time (90 minutes for a soccer match).

Accumulator

A multiple bet. The earnings are generated from a number of good results. All the selections made must win for you to win the accumulator.

Some accumulators have their own names too, like:

Double - a twofold accumulator
Treble - a threefold accumulator
Four-fold - a fourfold accumulator
Five-fold - a fivefold accumulator
etc.

Alphabet

An alphabet corresponds to 26 bets on 6 selections in various sporting events. The bet includes two patents (14 bets), a yankee (11 bets) and a six-fold (1 bet). One requires a winning selection to win.

Ante-post

Ante-post bets are placed a day or more before the actual day of the event. Such bets can sometimes take advantage of better odds available. When placing an ante post bet, you are also wagering that the competitor will actually take part in the event.

Any to come

Term used to describe when the whole or part of returns from one wager are automatically reinvested  on a subsequent bet.

Asian Handicap

The Asian Handicap has the same characteristics of a classic handicap with the difference that you can't bet on a draw. Your earnings and your losses are defined as follows:

If the result after taking into consideration the handicap is a draw, your bet is refunded.
If the result after taking into consideration the handicap is a victory of a quarter of the goal, your earnings or losses are divided by 2.

Back corresponds to a bet bought on a betting exchange.

Bet

The bet is to take a position on the outcome of a sporting match. There are different types of bets:

- The simple bet is to bet on a single event.
            - The combined bet is a single bet on several selections (Double bet).
            - A system bet is a multiple bet composed of several simple bets or combined (or both according to the situation) on several selections.

Betting exchange

This is a site specializes where sports betting exchanges take place on an anonymous basis with other bettors. It proposes bets and odds to other bettors. The bettor takes the role of the online betting site. It can also bet as an online betting site by purchasing bets created by another player (back).

Bonus

The bonus is an amount of cash or other reward offered by the bookmakers/gaming sites to their new visitors/players. However there are bonuses also available for old players who have already registered to the site. Bonuses allow the players to get comfortible with the site with less risk.  

Capital

The capital is the amount of money available to the bettor on his or her account(s) on online betting site(s).

Circled game

Combination forecast

This bet consists of 3 or more selections permed together. If these selections finish 1st, 2nd in ANY order, the bet is successful. Number of bets depends on number of selections, e.g.

• 3 selections = 6 bets.
• 4 selections = 12 bets.
• 5 selections = 20 bets.

Combination forecast doubles and trebles

Combination Forecast Doubles give you a better chance of getting a winning Forecast Double or Forecast Treble because you choose more than 2 selections in each race. To win you must have included the first two finishers in 2 races for doubles or 3 races for trebles. In all cases, it is the number of races that determines the number of doubles and trebles.

Combination Superfecta

A combination superfecta is a pool bet which involves predicting 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in the same race. To be a succesful bet, the selections can finish in any order. Should a superfecta bet contain a non-runner, the bet will be void.

Combination tricasts

A combination tricast involves 3 or more selections in the same race, with any 3 to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in any order, to give a return. Any 3 of the 4 selections must finish in the first 3 places. The return would be ?1 multiplied by the tricast dividend.

The number of bets in a combination tricast is calculated by multiplying the number of selections by it?s two preceding numbers e.g. for 4 selections, number of bets is 4 x 3 x 2 = 24.

Combination Trifecta

A combination trifecta is a pool bet bet which involves predicting 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the same race. To be a succesful bet, the selections can finish in any order. Should a trifecta bet contain a non-runner, the bet will be void.

Combined bet or multiple

The combined or multiple bet is a single bet on several sports events simultaneously. The forecasts must be fair to win a prize. It corresponds to the setting multiplied by the ratings of each selection. A combination bet on 2 selections is called a double, 3 selections is a triple.  

Double

The Double bet is a bet that offers the opportunity to bet on several events at the same time. For this bet to be a winner it must have at least two good results.

For example, for a double on 4 games, you play 6 odds  (because 6 doubles are possible for 4 games). The bettor generates 1 double winner for 2 good results, 3 double winners for 3 good results. The earnings are then determined by the sum of proceeds from the different odds determined, multiplied by the bet.

Note: On 4 games selected, if the player places a  1 ? bet on the Double, 6 ? are debited from his account. Indeed, he bets on the number of possible doubles with the selected matches, which is in this case: 4 matches selected - 6 possible Doubles

Double Result

The Double bet is to give two predictions on the same event. The double bet may also apply for the results at half time.

Draw

Where competitors in an event finish evenly. Where there is a draw and this is not offered as a betting option, the return will be divided by the number of joint winners. Note that some sports have processes such as extra-time or play-offs to determine an event winner that are included as part of the bet where others are not. This may affect some bets and you should always be sure how an event would be decided in this instance.

Each-way

A bet which consists of two wagers. The first is for the selection to win and the second is for the selection to place, at a proportional price which depends on the place terms.

EU

In general, we use EU for the European odds format which are decimal odds.

European odds multiplied by your stake equals the payout. The odds show how many units the bookmaker pays back per unit staked.

Even / Odd

The even/odd bet is to predict if the sum total of goals in a game will be odd or even.

Evens

Odds of 1 to 1.

Exacta

An exacta is a pool bet involving 2 selections in the same race, predicting 1st and 2nd place in the correct order.

Exotic wager

Any wager which is not a straight bet, e.g. round robin, parlay, teaser.

Favourite

The competitor considered most likely to win and therefore has the shortest or lowest odds.

First Goal

The first goal bet is to bet on the first to score a goal or a point during the match selected by the bettor.

Forecast

A forecast bet is one where you predict the first and second in a horse or greyhound race.

Future

Odds offered on winners of sporting events in advance of the event itself (see ante-post).

Goliath

A multiple consisting of 247 bets (28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 4-folds, 56 5-folds, 28 6-folds, 8 7-folds and 1 8-fold) involving 8 selections in different events.

Grand salami

The grand total of goals scored in all the hockey games of the day. It can be wagered to go over/under.

Half-Time

Also called  result at half time, the third. The half-time bet is to bet on the result at half time or the third break depending on the sport and at the end of the game. For example, if you are betting that Real Madrid will win at half-time and at the end of regulation time, they should be leading the score at half time and be victorious at the end of regulation time.

Handicap

The classic handicap bet is to bet on a sporting event whose online betting site (bookmaker or sports betting site) gives points or goals ahead of time to the weaker team  and vice versa,  takes points away from the stronger team.

Heinz

A Heinz corresponds to 57 bets on 6 selections in different events. The bet has 15 doubles, 20 triples, 15 accumulators 4 parts, 6 accumulators 5 parts and an accumulator. At least 2 selections must win to generate earnings. The earnings will be determined by the sum of proceeds from different odds determined, multiplied by the bet of the bettor.

Note: In 6 games selected, if the player put on 1 ? Heinz, 57 ? will be debited from his account. Indeed, the bettor actually bets on the number of multiples possible with selected matches, and in this case: 6 games selected - 15 doubles, 20 triples, 15 accumulators 4 parts, 6 accumulators  5 parts and an accumulator are possible.

HK

In general, we use HK for the Hongkong odds.

HK odds multiplied with your stake equals the winnings. The odds show how many units you win in pure winning per unit staked. So HK odds are just like UK odds, except not expressed in fractions but in decimals.

Home team / Visiting team

The team that plays at home is the first odd ratio. The second odd ratio corresponds to the visiting team.

If bet

An If bet is 1 bet involving 2 to 12 straight play selections joined by a condition. There are two types: ? (1) ?Single Action? where the player will have action on the second straight bet if the first play wins only, and so on in the chain of plays; (2) ?Double Action? where the player will have action on the second play only if the first play wins, ties, or the game is cancelled, and so on in the chain. Wherever there is a loser, the bet stops.

Impair/Pair

The bet Impair/Pair is also called Odd/Even, It consists in forecasting if the total sum of the goals; a match will be even or odd.

IN (Indonéz odds)

In general, we use IN for the Indonesian odds.

Indonesian odds are just like US odds, just divided by 100. So when negative, they show how big a stake is needed for a profit of 1 and when positive, they show the profit from a stake of 1.

Joint favourites

When bookmakers cannot separate two horses or teams for favouritism, they are made joint favourites.

Klasszikus handicap

The classic handicap bet is to bet on a sporting event whose online betting site (bookmaker or sports betting site) gives points or goals ahead of time to the weaker team  and vice versa,  takes points away from the stronger team.

Last goal

The Last Goal bet is to bet on the first team to score a goal or a point during the match selected by the bettor.

Lay

Handicaps, pointspreads and odds offered to the bettor.

Live betting

The live betting is based on the same principle as the simple bet. The difference is that the bet is made during the match,  which causes a change in the ratings over time. Lucky 15

A Lucky 15 corresponds to 15 bets on 4 selections in various sporting events. The bet has 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 triples and 1 quadruple. When a selection wins, the earnings are reinvested, and consolation to double the probability (nul or rider). If all selections win, a bonus of 10% is added to the total earnings. All predictions must win for the bettor to be eligible for bonuses. For each bet, the consolidated earnings are obtained only on the part of the winning bet.

The earnings will be determined by the sum of proceeds from different odds determined, multiplied by your bet.

Note: On 4 games selected, if the player places a ? 1 bet on the Lucky 15, ? 15 will be debited from his account. Lucky 31

A lucky 31 is 31 bets including 5 betting choices in different events. The bets include 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 triples, 5 quadruple and a accumulator. If only a selection wins, earnings are reinvested to double the probability.

If the 5 selections win, a bonus of 15% is added to the total earnings. To qualify for bonus, all selections must be winners (void or rider). For each bet, the earning consolation is obtained only on the part of the winning bet.

Note: Out of 5 games selected, if the player places a ? 1 bet on the Lucky 31, 31 ? will be debited from his account. Indeed, the bettor actually bets on the number of possible multiple matches with the selection, which is in this case: 5 games selected - 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 triples, 5 quadruples and an accumulator possible.

A bet in which no money is lost or won.

Odds

The odds correspond to the earnings  in the event of a winning bet. The lower the odds, the higher the probability of occurrence. That is why the favourite (the one who is most likely to win) generally has the lowest odds. Inversely, there are outsiders who have higher odds.

Odds against

Odds higher than 1. It means that the possible winning is higher than the bet.

Odds on

Odds lower than 1. It means that the possible winning is lower than the bet.

Outsider

The outsider is the team or the player who has the least chance of winning the match. This team has higher odds when compared to his opponent.

Over

The over bet is to bet on total goals in a sporting event. To bet with an  "Over"  bet means to forecast over a certain number of goals. For example: An over bet set at 2.5. If only two goals are scored the bet is lost if more than a minimum of three goals are scored the bet is won.

Over / Under

The Over / Under bet is to bet on total goals of a sporting event. The "Plus" bet means forecasting over a number of goals or points, the  "Less" bet is therefore forecasting on less than a certain number of goals or points. Example: A Plus / Less bet fixed at 2.5 for a football match. The Plus bet is a winner if at least three goals are scored and is a loser if two goals or less are scored during the meeting. The Under bet is a winner if a maximum of two goals are scored but it is lost if three or more goals are scored.

Parlay

Bet depending on more than one condition coming true.

Patent

A patent corresponds to 7 bets on 3 selections in various sporting events. The bet includes a simple bet for each selection and 3 doubles and 1 triple. One requires a winning selection to win. Your earnings will be determined by the sum of the product from different odds determined, multiplied by your bet.

Permed Patent

A permed patent involves between 4 and 6 selections, with the patent being made up of all the possible combinations of three different selections. The permed patent would be 28 bets (4 individual patents)

Reverse If bet

A Reverse If bet is 2 bets involving 2 to 12 straight play selections joined by conditions. Like a regular If bet, but the chain runs 2 ways, both down the betting slip and up the betting slip making two bets. Both ?Single? and ?Double Action? are available. Wherever there is a loser, the bet stops.

Reversed Exacta

A reversed exacta is 2 bets involving 2 selections in the same race to finish 1st and 2nd in either order.

Should an exacta bet contain a non-runner, the bet will be void.

Reversed forecast

A reversed forecast is 2 bets involving 2 selections in the same race to finish 1st and 2nd in either order.

Reversed forecast double

A straight forecast double is 1 bet, like a standard double, involving 2 straight forecasts across 2 races. Both forecasts must be successful for the bet to win, with returns from the first reinvested on the second.

Reversed forecast treble

A reversed forecast treble is 8 bets, involving 3 reversed forecasts across 3 races. All 3 reversed forecasts must be successful for the bet to win, with returns from the first reinvested on the second and then onto the third. There are 8 possible winning outcomes to this bet: a-b/c-d/e-f, a-b/d-c/f-e, b-a/c-d/e-f, b-a/d-c/f-e, a-b/c-d/f-e, a-b/d-c/e-f, b-a/c-d/f-e, b-a/d-c/e-f.

Round robin

A bet consisting of 10 bets (3 pairs of "Single Stakes About" bets plus 3 doubles and 1 treble) involving three selections in different events.

Ryder Cup

A golf tournament in which every two years the top American and European golfers meet at venues alternating between the two continents.

Showcast

A showcast is a fixed price forecast or tricast, based on our early prices or show from the racecourse. Available on UK and Irish horses, and Greyhounds.

Simple bet

Or the simple bet. The simple bet is the most common form of betting. It is to bet on the result of a single sport event (victory, draw, defeat). The sports betting tips should be just to win.

Single action

An 'if bet' that is processed only if the precedent bet wins.

Specials

The Special bet is to predict specific events on a match. This type of betting is also known as Match Specials.

Spread

Straight tricast

A straight tricast is 1 bet involving 3 selections in the same race to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order.

Super Heinz

A Super Heinz corresponds to 120 bets on 7 selections in different events. The bet has 21 doubles, 35 triples, 35 accumulators 4 parts, 21 parts accumulators 5, 7 accumulators 6 parts and an accumulator.

Super Yankee

A Super Yankee  consists of betting on 26 matches on 5 selections in different events. The bet has 10 doubles, 10 triples, 5 accumulators  4 parts and an accumulator.

Superfecta

The Surebet is a method which ensures its bet with a zero risk, because it is a winner every time.

System bet

The system bet is like a multiple bet but which differs from the latter by the fact that if all the events on which the bettor has bet are not winners, earnings can be possibly won. The number of minimum winning selections to win depends on the structure of the bet chosen. The  system bet is composed of a simple bet and / or combining several events simultaneously. Every single bet or wager combining a system bet is called a line.

There are different types of System bets: Trixie, Yankee, Super Yankee, Heinz, Super Heinz, Goliath.

Teaser

A teaser is 1 bet involving 2 or more point spread or game total selections on football and basketball. A fixed number of points are bought or sold on all selections in the teaser. Pay out odds are fixed depending on the number of teams and the number of points bought or sold. All selections must be successful for the bet to win.

Buying points is simply changing the handicap and also the potential payout.

Toteswinger

A Toteswinger bet is when you select two horses to finish in the first three places. These bets are accepted in races of six or more runners nominated by Tote direct.

Tricast

Tricast betting involves predicting 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in a horse or greyhound race. Tricasts are only available on handicap horse races with eight or more runners and featured greyhound race meetings.

Tricast dividends are declared after each race, based on starting prices and quoted to a ?1 stake.

Trifecta

A trifecta is a pool bet which involves predicting 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the same race. To be a succesful bet, the selections must finish in the exact order predicted. Should a trifecta bet contain a non-runner, the bet will be void.

Trixie

A Trixie correponds to 4 bets on 3 selections in different events. The bet includes 3 doubles and 1 triple with at least 2 of the 3 selections wining to generate earnings. The earnings will be determined by the sum of the proceeds from different odds determined, multiplied by his bet.

Important: On 3 matches selected, if the bettor places 1 ? on the Trixie, 4 ? will be debited from his account. Indeed, he actually bets on the number of multiples possible with games selected, which is in this case: 3 matches selected - 3 doubles and 1 triple possible.

UK

In general, we use UK for the UK odds which are fractional odds.

UK odds multiplied by your stake equals the profit. The odds show how many units you win in profit per unit staked.

Union Jack

A union jack bet involves 9 selections in different events, written out as follows to form 8 groups of 3.

• 3 horizontal lines  (1-2-3 / 4-5-6 / 7-8-9)
• 3 vertical lines (1-4-7 / 2-5-8 / 3-6-9)
• 2 diagonals (1-5-9 / 3-5-7)

Each group of 3 can be staked as trebles, patents or trixies. Therefore union jack trebles consist of 8 bets from 9 selections, union jack patents consist of 56 bets from 9 selections and union jack trixies consist of 32 bets from 9 selections.

US

US odds can be positive and negative. So in contrast to European and UK odds styles, the interpretation of the odds is different depending on the value. And the way the odds are split is according to whether you will be returned less or more than your stake if you win.

Value Bet

The bet Value Bet, is a method of betting based on the identification of scores poorly evaluated by an online betting site. In this method, the bettor uses his own calculations of probability. He bets only where he has found an error in judgement by an online betting site.

If  ODDS  x  EVALUATION / 100> 1 then there is a Value Bet. The greater the result of this formula,  the greater the value Bet.

X

It is abbreviation indicating that there is no score or null game.

Yankee

A Yankee corresponds to 11 bets on 4 selections in different events. The bet has 6 doubles, 4 triples and a accumulator.

Permed Yankee
